Bandsaw Blades for Sale in Ireland – Metalworking & Woodworking
The right blade affects cutting speed, surface finish, accuracy, blade life and downtime. Millennium Machinery supplies a broad range of bandsaw blades for metal and wood cutting, with multiple widths and tooth pitches available for different machines, materials and applications.
Not sure which blade you need? Send us your machine model, current blade dimensions and the material you are cutting. Our team can help identify the correct specification.

Choose the Blade Around the Cutting Application
Slow cutting, vibration, tooth damage and inconsistent surface finish are not always signs of a machine problem. The blade may simply be wrong for the material, wall thickness, section shape or cutting parameters.
The correct blade specification should bring together the material being cut, whether the workpiece is solid or hollow, section size, blade dimensions, tooth pitch, machine type, cutting speed and expected workload.

Find a Wood Cutting BladeFour Things That Matter When Choosing a Bandsaw Blade
Blade life and cut quality depend on more than the blade name. Match the blade to the job and then run it with the correct machine setup.
Material & Workpiece
Steel grade, wood type, solid bar, tube, profile and bundle cutting all place different demands on the blade.
Tooth Pitch / TPI
Thin sections generally need a finer pitch, while larger solid sections can usually use a coarser pitch for better chip clearance.
Speed & Feed
Even the correct blade can wear quickly when blade speed or feed pressure is wrong for the material.
Machine Condition
Correct tension, guides, coolant where required and a clean cutting area help the blade perform consistently.

Bandsaw Blade FAQ
Practical answers to common questions about bandsaw blade selection, TPI, wear and replacement.
Start with the bandsaw make and model, blade dimensions, material, section shape, maximum size and expected workload. For metal cutting, tooth pitch, blade speed and feed also need to suit the material and section. Send these details to Millennium Machinery if you want the blade specification checked before ordering.
TPI means Teeth Per Inch. It describes tooth spacing on the blade. Thin-walled sections normally require a finer pitch so enough teeth remain engaged, while larger solid sections can generally use a coarser pitch to provide more space for chip removal.
A constant-pitch blade uses evenly spaced teeth. A variable-pitch blade combines different tooth spacings, which can help reduce harmonic vibration and noise and can be useful where a saw processes tubes, profiles and solids of varying dimensions.
Premature wear can come from the wrong TPI, excessive or insufficient cutting speed, too much feed pressure, incorrect tension, worn guides, poor coolant delivery, workpiece movement, chip build-up or incorrect installation. If the same issue keeps recurring, the full cutting setup should be investigated rather than simply fitting another blade.
Common signs include noticeably slower cutting, rougher cut surfaces, blade wandering, increasing vibration, damaged or missing teeth, the need for more feed pressure, or visible cracks and physical damage.
Yes. Aluminium and other non-ferrous materials are generally cut differently from stainless steel, tool steels and heat-resistant alloys. On variable-speed bandsaws, speed should be set around the material and blade specification rather than using one setting for every job.
Often the machine make and model is a useful starting point. If possible, also send the current blade length, width and thickness together with the material and largest section you cut. This helps confirm both blade size and tooth pitch.
Yes. Millennium Machinery supplies bandsaw blades and related cutting equipment with nationwide delivery in Ireland. Availability depends on blade size and specification, and additional configurations can be quoted on request.
