Millennium Machinery has begun a phased workshop upgrade at a school in County Mayo, replacing existing equipment and introducing new machinery suitable for practical engineering and technical education.
The first stage of the project included the delivery and installation of an OPTIsaw S 275NV metal band saw, featuring continuously adjustable blade speed, quiet operation and high cutting accuracy through vibration-free running.
Two OPTIdrill DH 40CT pillar gear drills with cross tables were also delivered, providing versatile drilling and milling capability within the teaching environment.
As part of the upgrade, selected older machinery was removed from the workshop, with some of this equipment becoming available for resale.
Preparation is now underway for the next stage of the project, with additional machinery planned for installation as the workshop modernisation continues.
