Electrode grinding machine EG 1.
Why grind electrodes?
In order to avoid ignition problems and a traveling arc in DC TIG welding (DC), the electrodes should be sharpened sharply for current flow! In AC TIG welding (AC), a phase must be ground for a narrow arc on the electrode from Ø 1. 6 mm in the direction of current flow!
.
- Optimized for use in the workshop and during assembly
- For cutting electrodes from 1. 0 mm
- Minimal material sanding on the electrode of only 0. 3 mm via built-in adjustment gauge, thus up to 200 regrinding sandings instead of only 50 - 100 possible
- Electrode does not glow during the grinding process
- Infinitely adjustable grinding angle from 15 to 180°
- Integrated suction with P3 dust filter for optimal protection of the user
- Precise guidance of the electrode in a clamping holder
- For electrode lengths up to 22 mm
- Also available for grinding short electrodes (up to 15 mm) e. for orbital welding systems, required collets as accessories
- Three grinding planes of the diamond disc can be used via simple adjustment, therefore three times the service life of the disc
- Electrodes with metal drops can also be ground directly, saving time and electrode ablation
- Powerful 850 watt motor
