The OPTImill MH 20V is a stable drilling and milling machine with an electronically variable speed drive, suited to workshops, toolrooms and training use. A powerful DC motor with continuous current monitoring and a two-stage gear ratio transfers power reliably, and tapered roller bearings in the spindle keep concentricity within 0.015 mm, measured in the sleeve.
Machining and accuracy
- Large, precisely surface-machined cross table with T-slots and adjustable gibs
- Stable dovetail guide with adjustable gibs, and adjustable end stops
- Adjustable feed spindle play, and double-row angular contact bearings in the axes that adjust without play
- Drilling and milling head tilts by ±60°
- Right and left rotation
- Prepared for the DRO5 digital position indicator on the X and Y axes, with grooves ready for the magnetic strips
Electrics and safety
- Improved motor protection, with control electronics and integrated relay control
- 24 V safety electrics, emergency stop and lockable main switch
- Height-adjustable protective screen with microswitch, against flying chips and parts
- Air filter for the motor, and machine lamp
