The OPTIturn TU 2406V is a precision metal lathe with a 250 mm swing over the bed and a 1.1 kW motor on a standard 230 V supply. Speed is adjusted smoothly from 150 to 2500 rpm with a potentiometer, and a digital display shows the set speed. The lead screw cuts 14 metric pitches (0.4–3.5 mm) and 12 imperial pitches (44–10 TPI), and also drives automatic longitudinal turning. A 3-jaw chuck is included, and a wide range of accessories is available. It suits workshops, maintenance and training.

- Spindle nose concentricity better than 0.009 mm and chuck concentricity better than 0.05 mm
- Hardened spindle nose, with two P5-class tapered roller bearings and a thrust bearing
- Rolled trapezoidal lead screw in two sintered bearings
- Handwheels with an adjustable fine scale of 0.01 mm, and a tailstock quill with a 0.02 mm scale
- Tailstock offset of ±5 mm for taper turning, with tool-free clamping by lever
